A Movie Review : The Greatest Showman (2017)

        Hi, precious people. Because I love watching movies. So, on this occasion, I would like to review a movie that I've already watched. The title is The Greatest Showman (2017). This movie is inspired by the true story of the creation of the Barnum's American Museum which was built by Mr. P.T Barnum.

The Greatest Showman (2017) is an American musical drama film. The movie is set in the late 19th century. This movie tells about Mr. P.T Barnum is married to Charity and has two children, Caroline and Hellen, they lived in New York. This family lives in a simple apartment. Charity feels grateful and happy with their lives, but on the other hand, Barnum actually dreams of something more. Barnum had an idea and he recklessly took a large loan from the bank. He used this loan to build a museum. The result is only a few visitors came. Finally, Barnum looked for strange people with various physical or extraordinary abilities to serve as performers at the Museum. Because of that, it turned out to be a real hit with a lot of audience and resulted in very high ticket sales. Behind a success there were protests from a group of people who didn't like the success of these strange peoples and many negative reviews that even made Barnum have the idea to change the name of his business into "a circus".  If you want to know what happens next, please watch the movie by yourself. 

We can get the moral values from this movie, every single person has an equal right and status no matter the race, physics, skin colour, etc. Everyone is beautiful in their own way. Appreciate people around you and get out of your comfort zone. It's okay to make new friends, but don't forget the old ones. 

In my opinion, this is the greatest musical movie I have ever seen so far. I really love this movie, the theme of circus and the soundtrack. I like the character Mr. P.T. Barnum and Mrs. Charity in this movie, such a great acting. All the actors and actresses really have superb quality acting. All the songs from The Greatest Showman movie are masterpiece. One of my favorite songs is ‘A Million Dreams’. 

My favorite scene is when Mr. Barnum hears from her daughter that she wants to quit ballet. But, Mr. Barnum said something to cheer up her daughter, “Caroline, you’re the best dancer on that stage”. Those words touch my heart. Actually, I have a lot of favorite scenes but it might be spoiling you. This is a musical and dance movie that everyone should watch. I would recommend this movie for you. Highly recommended. Rate 9/10 from me. I watched this movie in the Disney hotstar app.
